Default Air box sucking noise

I have always heard this noise coming from my car. When I put my ear up to the slot in the air box, I hear it the most. It's almost as if the motor is just sucking air. No vaccum leaks, lid is sealed and so is the hose.

no worries , its suppose to do that the noise is the engine drawing air through the air filter ,the air is used in the combustion process .

nice car

Air+fuel+spark-exhaust =power
More air+ more fuel+ more spark - more exhaust = more fun

Yes I know the motor is supposed to "suck in air". It just seems it's a lot louder then what it should be.

And I meant to stay starving for air in first post. Mind was elsewhere when written.
