This is the hood I bought. Guys says it came off an '01 WS6. However my body shop is having trouble getting it to fit right.

Oem hood is fiberglass. Not smc like the fenders. I just threw away a shattered one from a 02 black ws6 we parted out.

The hood in question certainly looks like a factory GM WS6 hood. The shape of the nostrils and ridge around the front are typical things that give a genuine from a copy away.

Certainly not trying to start an argument, but the factory WS6 hood was indeed SMC. They still shatter similar to fiberglass. So many base-model Trans Ams have been outfitted with aftermarket ram air hoods, that perhaps the car you parted out was one of them?
