Default Narrow .5" per side with 17x11 315/35?

So I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 9" next week and I've got a few questions. Currently Im running 17x11 Zr1's with 315/35 tires.

My back tires do stick out a touch further than the front wheels do. Can I narrow the rear 1/2" each side without any issues to get them to tuck in a little better? Any input on this would be great. Thanks

You can go up to three inches per side without getting into the suspension. The only thing I can see at .5 per side is you may have to add a little clearance to the inside wheelwell in a few areas. A hammer will do the job. Bob

Yeah, I wanted to see if I could tuck in the current wheels without any serious mods. A little BFH work isn't a big deal. But if I go any wider new wheels with a different offset is definitely a must.
