Default Steering upgrade for 69 Chevelle

hey everybody, need some constructive advice please
have a 1969 chevelle with ls2/4l80e
i have standard ratio manual steering(old recirc) all new but still poor feel.
thinking of quick ratio recirc box or complete change to rack and pinion. only issue there is have only found power rack and pinion kits for this car and prefer to stay manual
any ideas, comments, anybody already been there and done it?
thanks

The quick ratio steering box will still have no comparison to a rack and pinion setup. TRZ makes a manual rack and pinion kit.
