heads change sound?

Default heads change sound?

might be a stupid question...but

I know a cam will change the sound/note of the exhaust but will heads change the sound?

If you bump compression they usually do to some extent

Changes in valve size or compression ratio can both have an effect on volume and sound characteristics.

I am planning on getting some prc 2.5 ls6 heads. I was wondering the same thing. I cant see this thing getting much louder

Very little if any, like RPM WS6 said a bump in compression will change the sound slightly also.

So ported ls6 / 5.3 prob wouldn't be noticable?

I'm not sure what your car sounds exactly like now, but with my heads and cam and same exhaust as you, it sounds stupid loud and raspy IMO lol

The cam makes the most noticeable noise change, if you were to change the heads only and leave the stock cam most likely there would be no noticeable difference in the sound.
