Default Flashing a 99 pcm with a 2000 tune

Im curious I have a few years already unlocked on my Hp tuners unit 98,2000,2002. I was wondering if the car is a 99 could I simply flash a stock 2000 tune to that pcm. I know this is a long shot but what the heck i'll buy more credits if I can't lol.

Any ls computer from 1999-2002 can hold any of those files between each other. For example a 2002 Silverado file can go into 1999 trans am and vise versa.

1997-1998 are their own computer and are not compatible with the 99 up.

You would have to use another software or the gm sps to do that.

So are you saying that with HP Tuner you are not able to flash over the tune with a different year OS? What about from say a 1999 truck to a 1999 Z28 file?

Of course you can, but you need to spend credits to do it. Just don't mix 512 KB files/PCMs with 1024 KB ones.
LS1 PCMs are very forgiving. I have flashed every OS I wanted and never damaged one. I went from truck to camaro to corvette OS without problems.

Why do you want to use a 2000 os instead of a 99? They are the same, no advantages.
Use a 01-02 OS, it is better than 99-00

I wanted to use a 2000 tune, because I have that year unlocked already but it didnt work it still tried to make me license the vehicle so I just went ahead and bought 2 more credits.
