stall converter question
Okay. I mostly get how a stall converter works but lets say i got 3000 stall and i was driving through town. I come to a red light. It turns green. I press the gas. Will my car only start going when it hits 3000 rpms?

I have a Yank 3600 and can accelerate briskly to highway speed without ever going above 2800 rpm.

I dd my car with an ss3600 pretty often and it's not too loose for what size converter it is, and doesn't take that much rpm to get goin from a light maybe 1500 or so Iv never looked. If I let off the brake it'llove on its own still.

Most converters are rated at the flash stall, meaning that is the RPM they flash to on full acceleration. Like mentioned above, just cruising around a light throttle they will move the car at a much lower RPM. A 3500+ stall on a LS motor is very common for a DD, I think you will be very pleased. I would be happy to help you spec one out, just send me your info and I can get back to you.... Ask Chris link in sig.
