Can't fine ps return hose?
A friend of mine has a 2000 SS with the ps cooler and he can't find a return line for his car. He needs the cooler to rack line and none of the local auto parts has it. Does anyone know where to get one or have a part number?

here it is. theyre about 80 bucks and only from gm. It shows its for the one without a cooler, but now there is just that one part number and you cut it to fit. I said f**k it and i just cut the bad section of mine out and put a barb fitting with a new line in since it isnt high pressure.
Another option would be to take it to a hydraulic place and have them cutout the metal piece on the bottom and crimp on a new rubber hose, should be much cheaper than 80 bucks.... I'll most likely go this route when the car has some down time.

He told me today he thought he had it fixed (no idea what he did) but we talked about just finding a V6 car and cutting the top of the hose off and using rubber hose but we weren't sure if the V6 rack would use the same fitting. V6 cars around here are a dime a dozen but you can't find a V8 for anything.

BTW - This fix should also work for the return hose since its a low-pressure hose. The only thing special about it is the metal formed piece at the end. Just add a new o-ring and section of rubber hose and you should be good to go. (Had I known about this previously, I wouldn't have paid for a new part from GM.)
