Dynamometer Results & Comparisons - What's involved in a Dyno Tune?

Forgive my ignorance, but I see alot of people talking about doing a dyno run, then getting "tuned" or a "dyno tune", then doing another dyno run and getting better performance....what exactly is a dyno tune? What do they do? Cost? Thanks!
