Default how rare is an 01 ta gt v6 w68 package

where's my 4th gen junkies? how rare is a 01 GT, 3800 with the w68 appearance package? this is new info into me in less than 10 minutes. so i'm just wondering if the package makes it more rare than the average 01 3800 firebird base.

IIRC they had a 93-94 Trans Am GT... I might be off but I remember reading that. But if that is even correct, I have never heard it with any other year/package/etc.

The W68 is just a ground effects package.

2001-02 SLP made the Firebird GT and Camaro RS.. both of which are 3.8 v6 models. I know this because I own build number 107 of 443 Firebird GT's from 2002.

I thought 4th Gen Firebird GT's were only produced from 93-97?

The GT's produced the last 2 years (01-02) were v6 models with an SLP appearance package performance exhaust, and optional suspension upgrades. It was available with Trans Am sway bars and wheels, and came standard with GT stripes and exhaust. It was rated at +5 hp and tq over the base v6 models.

This was the one with the silver stripe on it that was similar to the 25th anniv stripe right?

Kinda, not really...lol. Here's a front and read shot of mine that shows the stripe and the exhaust:

The exhaust looks like stock T/A exhaust. Think SLP just used the take off parts from the T/A's when they converted them to Firehawks?

In 1994 Trans am GT's had t-tops, high rise spoiler, leather, and 155mph speedo. On a non-GT 1994 trans am, these things were all options. Pretty much all of these things became standard for 1995+ Trans Am's. IIRC, 1993 TA's had all of those things as options as well, but no "GT" package (you could get all the same stuff, just didn't have a name)

In the late fourth Gen cars, Firebird GT's were V6 cars with unique graphics/cosmetics from SLP like the black one pictured above.

^^both Tbird232ci and MasterTomos above are correct.. The exhaust put on the v6 GT's from SLP is the stock Trans Am exhaust. And the Trans Am GT from the early 4th gens is a completely different car from SLP's GT the last 2 years.

Is there also a Y87 code on your door sticker? I had a 2001 Firebird with the Y87 3800 performance package that also had the dual outlet exhaust, 3:42 Torsen limited slip rear end with a A4 and a few other things, but it wasn't a GT.
