Found this in my oil...
I found this in my oil and it's a white sludge, I don't know where it could have came from....I do regular oil changes, the only thing I can think of is, is the oil I added because the car leaks oil. I added an oil without reading too much onto what it was it said it was a "part synthetic" I use regular oil but I had no choice to use this, I only added a quart, I hope I didn't mess anything up, I don't think I did...car runs fine, good oil pressure, etc. Please help if you can. Thank you

Well, I added the rest of that quart to the oil, and my car is now pouring out white smoke and it smells really weird (the wife said almost like bacon) and now the SES light is on....IDK what the hell is going on here, I'm thinking about doing an oil change but I have to drive it a few miles to a hobby shop on base to do that... Is it safe to drive? Can I run the vehicle? I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty scared, I don't want to F this engine up it only has 92K on her.
Well, I figured out the problem, I had a spark plug wire disconnected :/ it was the number one cylinder..... I only drove it for about a hundred feet to turn it around do you think I damaged anything?

I was saying I thought something happened when I added more oil and it started smoking like crazy out the exhaust and then I realized I messed up and forgot to connect the number one wire.

However, I agree with the second part of what you said. This is moisture related sludge. It can come from short trip driving and/or running the engine without allowing it to get fully warmed up (cold weather will exaggerate the condition), or from water somehow making it's way into the oil (head gasket).

I don't know where to send that lol. What are some of the symptoms? Isn't things like erratic idle, loss of power etc. symptoms of that? How hard is it to change the head gaskets?

Sending an oil sample to a place like Blackstone Labs or Polaris or any other such lab would be a good first step. It's not costly to do so.
