How are your guys' car tuned for OD? My car runs great but when hit its 4th, it bogs worse then my frippin H2. I understand you don't use OD at the track, but if you get a tune, wouldn't you expect it across the board?

My A4 is tuned perfect in "D" or in "3". No bogs or problems at all...in fact it runs better when I leave in D! Shift points seem to be better and I've heard this from others with A4's too.

I don't believe engine parameters are directly calibrated for a gear with the exception of I think the rev limiter can be set different in 1st vs. other gears. MAP, the "load" the engine is seeing would be the thing that changes, maybe the tuning is poor in a MAP/rpm range or maybe the tranny tuning is just letting the engine stay in OD when it really should downshift.

Far as OD at the track the 2-3 shift is BETTER if the selector is in OD, not that the car reaches that gear but the line pressure is higher for the 2-3 if that is the selector position so at that you should be using OD at the track.

Might be shifting to 4th gear at too low MPH, just lugging it? At what MPH does it do this? What RPM?

There is no way to tune it differently for 4th gear (OD).
