Find Rampant on here.....he's got a 455 with a Harrop. He can certainly provide some assistance with experience.

I am guessing you have the LSX 454 with LS7 heads? Then you will need the 58mm Harrop, and the cam will be nothing like mine.

I have a large Cathedral port head on mine, Masts 275's, with a heavily ported 55mm Harrop with custom throttle shafts. We gained over 40cfm on the intake.

If you have Cathedral ports, and a similar head to me. I would suggest talking to Eric at HKE. He spec'd the one in mine. We made 705/664 flywheel with an old style 1 7/8" F Body header. I have since put 2", with high velocity collectors on it. It might gain another 10-15, as I know these heads were a little weak on the exhaust side.

Where are you out of?

I personally think your cam requirements will be closer too LPE403s, than to mine. My intake and head intake ports are very different than yours.

I personally have seen no one with the 58mm Harrop as of yet. I look forward to seeing your results.

3800lb sedan with 3.42 gears isnt it mate ?

24x/26x-114 maybe..

Ask Harrop what they recommend, they may have a few clues what works with their intakes. Also PatG might be good for a spec. You can also call Comp they will make a recommendation too.

Roll them all up, chew a bit and decide what sounds best.

You also need to decide how you want to drive the car. Road, Race, Combo, high rpm power band, low end torque monster, solid midrange etc.

In a 454 24x/26x or there abouts should be good for mid/upper without going too crazy especially with ITB's

Would be interested to see what everyone else thinks.

Let me know if you want a hand with the tune mate

Thanks mate

I've tried Geoff at eps but he must be busy
I haven't spoke to comp yet

Like ringram has said I'd like to hear people's view
Also what about Ptv clearance on the bigger cams 24x25x

You must use a cam with no overlap unless you plan to use some sort of stack filters, if you don't you will see a oily combustion haze hovering around the top of your engine in idle and part throttle, which will get around
to mess up your engine bay, not a nice thing.
My other recommendationon is pay $25. and get the cam spec to your application from Camhelp@guerragroup.com just be sure to stay away from overlap if you plan to keep it open/unfiltered. (you will not believe how beautiful, your engine will sound on decelerationion) without overlap. Plan to hear every valve closing sound tic, love them with solid roller cams.
A nice cam with your combo is one with shifting points at 6,800 rpm red line7.300 still mild enough for street.
