Default 2002 SOM SS for sale

Alright guys, I'm a noob to the board but not the game. I used to own a 94' T/A with full bolt on's: with much dismay, I sold it years ago. I'll be returning from a 4 year overseas assignment in may, and would love to get back into an FBody.

Now on to what the title states.. I've found the car I want, however I don't agree with the price. I understand 2002 was the last year of the 4th generation Camaro/Firebird considered a collector by some. SOM was a fairly rare color and with just 12,000 miles on the clock, this car is a real gem.. That being said, would anyone here really pay $22,000 for this?

Can't really go by KB... But it is honestly pretty close to what I would expect for that car.

I figured. I've got a few more on my watch list with really low miles for around $13,500 - $14,800. Just not as much a fan of the colors as this one.

Tennessee.. 109k miles but you would never ever guess it by the condition.

It is in the classifieds on here and southern classifieds. ego killer is selling it, he is in my friends list as well. Im on phone or id give you the link.
I know you are looking for a low mileage car.. But this car could pass for 40k imo.

True ss car and an 02, som.. It is worth looking into imo.

Good lookin out brother. I am in the market for a lower mileage car, as I will be using it daily. Like you said though, definitely worth looking into. I'll be back from overseas in May, so I've still got a few months. Again, thanks for looking out!

My sisnster side says yes, but my better side says this may be a bit much for a daily driver. I'm planning on driving about 15 miles to and from work on a daily basis.

I wouldn't drive any nice low mileage fbody every day. Buy that and a cheap beater for a couple grand. You will want some for nasty days anyway. Drive the ss on nice days or about 3 days out of the week.
I dd my blue car but when the pewter car gets done i will drive it about 2 days a week.
If that's in your price and somewhat local, id be all over it. Seems to be exactly what your looking for and a ton of power to go with it.

The $22,000 price tag is a bit high and in the 'wishful thinking' category. A price in the high teens would be more like it. Remember that KBB and most price guides don't include premiums for ultra low mileage cars. They can't possibly calculate or include these premiums for each and every car but they certainly exist in real world sales. Remember that the $22,000 price is an asking price. If you love the car, give a solid offer that you are comfortable with but not insulting to him. Anything over $16,000 would be OK. All he can say is, 'no'. No harm in trying, right? Good luck with your search!
