Default Shifter hits console

I put a b&m ripper in my 99 and it hits console when I shift to reverse. Is this normal. Wth???

You may have to install the upper handle on the oposite side. Or you could adjust the console position.

The Ripper comes with two sets of washers...one set has holes drilled for putting the shifter in the factory location, and one set that either lets you move the shifter forward or backward depending on where you want it. Which do you have installed?

I think the Ripper installed full forward will have this issue.

Mine hits on right side only in reverse. No matter where u install it it still hits. You can't move console enough.
