Default Black Chrome?

So while watching PowerBlock the other day I saw this Duplicolor Black Chrome Paint. Long story short my wheels have bored the hell out of already and I think this would be a cheap alternative till I can buy new wheels again, what do you guys think? Anybody tried it before?

How the car looks now:

A cheap Photoshop of what it might look like:

If anybody can do a better PS, please do

I think your boredom will turn to frustration when it peels off. FWIW, the chrome looks great.

That's one of the problems, the chrome on one of the centercaps is starting to peel already (very minimal). These wheels are about 4 yrs old now so I guess it was expected?

I like black chrome alot..I have some of that shadow stuff and it looks ok on small parts but very hard to do big piece without it having streaks from over lap. I say leave them alone.

I think the black chrome looks amazing but I would be too worried about the paint not lasting. I had a set of wheels painted with automotive grade paint and they developed quite a bit of chips after a year.

No input on the wheels, but can you please post up more of your car showing off the black sail panel? I also have a silver car and I've been thinking about painting the sail panel black for some time.

Well looks like they might be staying chrome, I might look into doing it professionally but I have a feeling it'll be more than I wanna spend on these wheels.

Just save up and get some black chrome rims or try to trade / sell yours for some of the ones you are looking for.

Stay away from the duplicolor black chrome....It's very hard to work with. And isn't as black as what it seems.

My friend had it on his motorcycle and it looked good. The sun messed with it though and it turned yellow. He also did his supra wheels with it and it's still on there, but he also drives that car only a few times a season.
