Default What would you do?

Just looking for opinions on this topic. I have broken my flexplate three times (currently deciding which fp to buy now). CDS has either normal SFI fp's or a Aircraft Aluminum FP. Now, I'm at my boiling point with these damn things breaking so I'm really wanting to get the best of the best ($350); or I could get the regular SFI fp for $150. What would you do?

Our steel version will be a great match for you.... The aluminum is overkill. But what flexplates are you breaking and why? Something out of alignment or cracked?

My local speed shop has done all the work and they can't figure out whats wrong. They even took out the converter and inspected, refreshed, and restalled. After that they put in a truck flexplate out of a silverado. The only reason I was even considering the aluminum is I don't want to ever deal with it breaking again. I have to drive it like this till I get my paycheck on the first.

Check your dowel pins and bell housing for any cracks. Maybe something is wrong.... But I feel very comfortable using the steel version. We have never had one crack.

My dads 2500hd kept breaking the flex plate and it ended up being an out of balance converter.

Just ordered my SFI flexplate and new crank bolts (CDS). Speed shop will be inspecting converter, dowels, etc.
