Default 99 z28 bump steer help

Hey guys car is having bump steer problems if i drive on a perfectly flat road no bump steer drives perfectly strainght if th eroad has the slightest smallest bumps on the road i get jerked left and right like each one of the front wheels wants to go in there own direction.

The suspension is pretty much stock i jacked up the front end to check for play in the wheels now play at all everything was nice and sturdy,

the only thing im guessing it could be is

1.Alighnment ( dont know if this fixes bump steer)
2. to big and wide of tires

17 ss rims and the (tires) are

Front: Nitto 555 (275-40-17)

Rear: Nitto 555 (315-35-17)

What do you think it could be

Yeah i was kinda thinking it was to much for the rears

Stock Springs, Stock Shock,

The only Suspension mod is a bmr front strut bar

The car only has 89k miles if that helps...

It's an alignment thing. These cars don't really have bump steer issues. Wide tires with short sidewalls don't help either. When you get it aligned, shoot for around 1 to 1.3 camber and all the caster you can get and zero toe. My car has 1.3 camber and 4.5 caster, zero toe and my car drives pretty damn good. My car followed grooves like crazy before the alignment. There were roads that I had to hold onto the steering wheel with two hands!

My car still follows grooves a little bit. If the alignment improved it that much, don't worry about. It's fine.

Am I seeing this right? 0.6* positive camber in the front? You will be wearing out the outer side of your front tires pretty fast. They wear fast if you have 0 camber... You want probably at least -0.5 camber.

Could be warped rotors as well.
Play with tire pressure as well (try around 30psi) and see if it helps your trammeling problem at all.

Does your car pull right? It should with that +.3 caster split. It should be -.3. Also I see you said that the car was locked up for awhile, what is the DOT number on the tires?

Adjusted the air in front tires to 28psi from 32psi -
was also missing 1 or 2 lug nuts on each wheel and bought a set
of brand new lug nuts with a lock after that i can say the car is driving as straight as
it could.
*
fixing the tire pressure and lug nuts did the trick. but the only thing that hasn't
gone away is a little bit of vibration on steering wheel over alot of bumps

tires are pretty much brand new but old where can i find dot
