Arrow '11 5.0 vs LS2 GTO *video*

Quicky from last night.

GTO- LS2, 6 speed, intake, longtube headers, cutouts, tune

Mustang- 6 speed manual, intake, BOSS intake manifold, X pipe, axleback, tune, stock 3.73s

...both cars had a passenger.

Friend of mine just dropped by, he had his Hero3 on during the race as well. It comes in after the pull he made.

Nice that GTO is an intake swap and and UDP away from rustling the jimmies of that 5.0 owner.

I think it will take more than intake swap and and UDP to pull the 5.0.

Nice runs!

I as well would be curious to see how swapping from the LS2 intake to a FAST or even an LS6 would yield different results. LS2 intake is junk... It definitely wouldn't PULL the 5.0, but one has to wonder how much closer it'd be.

How many guys actually have good experience with UDP? Mine on my 97 WS6 caused more issues than benefit and another local with a 98 Camaro had the same problems. Maybe we just both had a bad experience? I put the stocker back on

Gah, for some reason mine just really frustrated me.

Thankfully back then I gained the power back from taking it off by going with an EWP later on

Don't know the gains on my setup as it was done during the engine build, but I'm at 40,000 miles and not a single issue. Could very well be that the GTO accessories are superior to the ones used on Fbodies.

Who knows! i know the stock LS2 intake is like literally the worst intake, or so ive been lead to believe. So i think with a fast 102/102 i can see some serious gains. The UDP not so much but every last bit helps.

Ive been holding off on installing mine, cause i don't own a ******* torque wrench, and i don't want anyone working on my car. Can't wait though.

Mine caused no problems. Who is this local guy you are talking about?

Sam with the red ls1 Camaro mentioned having issues with his. Could have just been the person who installed it for me (hint: not dave)

Strong running GTO. I thought the 5.0 would pull a bit harder when comparing the mods and weight.
