Cool electronic boost controller help

yesterday while i was on craigslist i stumbled across what i think to be a good deal. Its a Hks evc 6 boost controller and the guy wants 300 bucks. yes i know i can buy a manual controller for alot cheaper but I like all of the gauges and adjustability of the electronic gauges. The question is I know this is commonly a import controller and was wondering if anyone has had any experience using this controller installation and all ..... thanks in advance

I would stay away from greddy, apexi and hks. All are a pain in the *** to get set up right, all have a set and a gain ****. If you want some thing simple get the aem tru-boost. $300 brand new, It fits in a 2 1/16 gauge pod , there are a two wires that need to be hooked up, power and ground and the wires to the solenoid. It also is a boost gauge. It is what I would call a manual boost control for inside the car. You have one button for more boost and one for less and three different settings. Off, low and high it is pretty much dummy proof.

Get an eboost2. Easy to wire and set up and it's proven.
