Opinions on whether this cam is junk or not Ls3 cam approximately 8k miles on it. Whats with the line on the lobe? Cant feel it by touch but its causes me concern on whether to install it or not.

picture would be helpful and it could just be where the lifter rode on the lobe. Is it more then just one lobe that has that line? And is it shiny? may be normal. LS3 cam may be just a waste of time to even install. Isn't it a center bolt cam? You may not even be able to use it.

its going in a new 4.8 its a single bolt cam and i have a single bolt cam from the factory 07+ I figure the cam was good for 20whp na and would make a decent lil sleeper with a turbo
