What do you guys think would be best, o ring the heads and use a copper gasket? Or use the ls9 head gaskets? I'm going for 1000rwhp with an S88 and 390. The heads are 317's btw.

I have ls9 right now but I'm not sure which would stop me from pushing coolant better.

LS9 gaskets and ARP studs.. IMO don't waste money with o-ringing the heads unless they are an aftermarket casting later in the future.

I have personally ran 25 PSI with LS9s on stock decked heads and standard ARP head studs. This is with E85 and no intercooler. 285+ Degree IATs. You should be just fine with just the gaskets.

Unless you feel like swapping out the Head Gaskets every 1,000 miles or so I would do the LS9 Gaskets with ARP Studs (Maybe L19s).

Hke built engine, iron block, tfs cnc heads, ls9 gaskets, and arp studs. 25psi borgwarner 80mm and 15* timing, maybe 7 1/4 passes over 150mph at just under 3330lbs. Tons of street pulls. Engine been going hard for 3 years, no issues to speak of, the new turbo will put the 4 bolt block to the test
