Default Turbo 400 or 'glide?

I have a stock bottom end LS1 with an A4 that has seen better days. Car weighs around 3300 in race trim with driver. Right now, it has a 224 cam, and spray. Runs 11.20 on nuts, 10.60 with a lot of excuses on spray (slipping trans). It should go much lower in the 10's with the trans issue sorted. I will be going boost at some point, just not sure if this season or next winter, so i'd like to have a good base to build off. Any pros/cons? Car isn't ever driven on the street, so keep that in mind.

I would probably use a TH400 in that combo. Not a huge torque monster so the 3 speed will probably work better.
A Glide would work fine though, it will need a bit looser converter to make up for the lack of ratio at launch.
