Default Tunning 4l80e

I finally got finished isntalling a 4l80e. specs are 2002 camaro with a 3600 revmax billet stage 5 9.5" converter. I am using the pcm4less adapter so i can control the tranny with my original 4l60e tune.

I am using efi live and made the following changes to the tune: Increased line pressure 10%, shortened the shift times, all the torque reduction was already removed.

It doesn't shift as hard as i thought it would (was suppose to have a shift kit in it from the guy i bought it from that rebuilt it...) should i increase line pressure more?

Also the torque converter is not locking up properly. When in 3rd or 4th gears it would rarely lock up. And when it did it felt like it shifted gears it dropped from around 2400rpm to 2100rpm. Once it locked up it worked correctly, but most of the time i could never get it to lock up. Is there something i need to do to change this?

Also i was wondering, as i see when people dyno they lock up the converter manually. How do you command a converter lock up with efi live?

To command TCC lock from the scantool, goto the DVT tab.

Ok, here is a simple solution.

Download a file from the repository from a 2002 Silverado with a 6L in it that has a 4l80e in it.

Open that file and do a compare. then do a segment swap of the speedo section, transmission, and transmission diagnostics. Then pull out the adapter you bought and just wire the connector like the 2002 6L It is real easy.

Then it will work as designed.

If you don't want to go that route, make sure you change the gear ratios in the file to match the trans you are using. D1201 and d4601. Then get rid of pwm on d2903 by moving it to 90s.
