Default Tick M/C FAILURE WTF!!

Brand new Tick M/C installed with new slave tonight. Finished the install and I make it a two miles down the road and the crimped pressure line from the M/C exploded off the quick connect piece that attaches to the transmission.

Did I do something wrong? This is the first one I've installed on my own car, but the third one my friend that helped me with the install has done.

PS. Pushing an F-body 2 miles =

I'm not posting this to bash Tick AT ALL I wouldn't have invested in this part had If that was the case. I plan on calling Tick ASAP tomorrow.

Hey Martin, Thanks for replying!

I spoke with Joey this morning and he said he would forward my e-mail with pictures to a tech and get back with me. Called 3 times today without getting a callback.

This is on my daily, so I'm really trying to get it on the road asap. Just looking to know if I need to source a replacement line or if you guys are going to help me out.

Got it figured out... My M/C that was gifted to me was from a batch that had a bad crimp on the pressure line.

Couldn't get a warranty replacement due to the M/C being a gift to me several years back. Even though in new condition, because I didn't purchase the part and the time since purchase I had to buy a new line. A little unhappy I had to pay $90 for replacement of a brand new line that came from a known "bad batch". But I can understand, and since the M/C was a gift I'm not going to complain.

The guys are tick were definitely friendly and helpful.

That happened to me in san francisco new years eve last year. It was a bad batch of pressure line. Happened to a few people on here that bought the line somewhere in nov 2011. That kinda sucks u had to buy another line. With me, just replaced it for free. either way tick stands behind their products and their master cylinders are superior
