Default 1996 f-body 4l60e into a 1995 chevy 1500

Quick question- Anyone know what electronics needs to be switched to make this work? Aside from the speed sensor. I'm pretty sure the 3-2 down shift solenoid is different.

I thought all that is needed is to repin the harness and u can use the vortec computer and dizzy. Not sure if u want to try and use the tbi stuff from your computer . If u look up vortec PCM on lt1 Motor u should find some really good post on this swap. I know one guy on this site that had great pics on how he put a 96-97 lt1 in his 97+ silveraldo.

I know the 3-2 downshift solenoid is different in early 95's, it was changed mid model year. I suppose the solenoid could be switched if its different.

The 95 4l60e was a one year only transmission. 96-97 were the same. You can swap a 96-97 trans. into a 95 by using the wiring harness from your 95 into the 96-97. The 95 3-2 shift has a different ohm reading then the 96-97. I talked to performabuit transmissions and this is what they told me to do. Currently putting a 97 4l60e into my 95 Trans am.
