Default 4l65e with trans brake question for experienced racers

Was thinkin about runnin a glide just so I can use an Electric shifter and a brake, but then I started thinking.

Nobody seems to want my level 5 65e so why the hell not put a tbrake in it and run that? Well it will probably be shifting 3 times instead of 1 time in a glide.

My question is, If I put a trans brake in my 4l65e, can I leave it in "drive" and still have the transbrake applied in 1st/start? I really do not want to run my A4 shifter manually because it doesn't lockout like my Quarterstick

Surprised nobody chimed in and said there is ratchet shifter with 4 speed gates out there. I picked up a TCI outlaw shifter from Summit the other day. I love the look and feel of this shifter. I may be buying a ross box soon for full manual shifts when I want them.

Thinking about running a 2 step in with my line lock on a clutch pedal setup and launch like a t56 car. And not using a tranny brake.

Anybody ever try that?

Outlaw shifter won't fit in factory console. Some modifications were required. Made a nice bracket for it. Cut my top A4 console out a little oversize. Can't wait to get it installed tomorrow. Ill post more pics soon.
