I need help with NX install
Im using my kit from my 383 EFI SBC setup that i had on my iroc well that car is now gone and i want to install the kit on my ls1 listed below.
this stuff has just been sitting in a box for a couple years.
I'll be putting the bottle in the spare tire well...
how did you guys run the line?
where can i get some kind of mounts for the solenoids (spelling) in the engine bay.
how do i wire the window switch?
i know i know lots of questions but i totally forgot how to do it since ive been outta the game for a few years.
its the complete kit:
heater, opener, pressure gauge, fuel cut off, window switch, purge
help me out guys,
thanks!!
does this stuff get old after sitting for so long?

The n2o parts don't go bad but I would check the solenoids before installing them which is very simple,. Just hook one side to the - side of a battery then touch the other lead to the + and you will hear it clicking and if your holding it you will feel it opening/closing. You can run the feed line inside or under the car just make sure it won't drag or hit anything moving, suspension, exhaust, etc...there are mounts for the solenoids and the window switch can be mounted anywhere.

I ran my feed line inside under the carpet and thru a grommet in the fire wall under the pcm.
Most guys mount solenoids on a plate next to the throttle body.
WOT switch, I made a bracket and used the cam on the throttle body. I could snap a pic if you'd like.
Window switch I put on pass. front tire well.
Do a search here there are a few good wiring diagrams around. RPM is pulled from pcm harness, its a white wire but I forget the number right now.

snap me a picture if you dont mind of your solenoid install, I guess i could search it too.
I was looking at brackets on ebay but i have a catch can installed on the passenger head so that take up some room there.
I just like a clean looking install .....yeah what about the WOT button?

I run a dry shot so my solenoids are mounted under the rad support.
Wet is best to be mounted over the motor somewhere.
I can get you a pic of my WOT bracket just give me a day because my cars in storage at the shop.

May need to check that it is pin 10 on the 99+ PCM. It could possibly be different. As far as having to run a wire that far, that is the only way I know of doing it. When I ran my wire for shift light, I just ran it through the grommet behind the PCM, it's not really that far. AutoMeter even supplied enough wire with it..

Lets get it going stroked.. Post some pics as well man. I'm doing the same thing, I still need to purchase the kit. I just wanted to get a heads up on what all I may need. For budget purposes, I figured the NX Proton Plus kit would be perfect for me.
Also are you going to have it re-tuned for MAX performance after the install?
Good Luck!

Here is your mount for the spare tire well. You should be able to find instructions for the MSD. I should have them if you need them.
Here is locations for the TPS and Tach
98-02 F-Body and 04 GTO
Tach Wire: Passenger side of vehicle – Main coil harness plug – Top row of wires – second wire form the left OR Pin 10 @ pcm on Red Connector
TPS Wire: Blue wire on TPS sensor @ TB OR Pin 8 @ pcm on Blue Connector

Im getting there. Now i gotta figure out how to wire all this up. I had it wired fine in my IROC but its been so long and im kinda **** about stuff looking half ***.
anyways, I dunno if i want a TPS activation or should i just go with the WOT button on the TB linkage.
also in my IROC I had an MSD digi 6 box for timing retard but that cant be used on the LS engines.
so what now?
anyways here where im at:
I had to drill a hole behind the carpet and came out in the wheel well. the red wire is the power wire for the relay in the back
these are the wires bottle opener, warmer and heater.
