Default H/C G8 GT vs HC Charger SRT8

Shot out to SRTboy for making this happen. Real cool stand up guy.

His car still has a lot on the table and when he is done modding it out I'm looking forward to the rematch. I hopefully will have some more goodies installed by then to keep him at arms length haha...

First run was from about 45ish to 110. Second run he took the hit from the same 45 to about 115. 3rd run we went from close to 60 which was two high for me in 2nd gear and my car didn't like it, so I basically went from the bottom of third gear. Took a while to run him down from being way out of my power band. Pulled real nice once I got to fourth gear though...

In VA most people that I know of go through Dyno Tuned Performance (DTP) and some other shops that they tend to partner up with in Virginia Beach. Others have gone ProMotion Tunning in Fredricksburg. I have been to both but, DTP is who actually did my car. Thats just the ones I know of.

nice cars. are you still on the stock intake manifold and gears? i think the fish eye style lens on the camera made it appear like your car was 4 cars back but how much was it in person 1- 1.5?? anyways nice races, maybe i can get in on the heavyweight class with you guys once i get things sorted out!! let me know if you need to borrow the wideband

You can actually see the red light from my tail lights reflecting off the side of his car as I pull to give better idea of how things went. Wide angle can't distort that.

The wide angle lens can make for some strange views sometimes, but when you are real close together IMO I think it is very accurate. When I vid runs at the track the other car is much further away. I could put a bus length on them and the go pro would still keep them in view with the wider angle. It would have been real bad if we went to speeds where I usually race camaros/gtos/vettes... Just no need to go any faster once you pull out a 1-2 cars. For the purpose of having a bench mark I think we handled that pretty well for now.

He still has some work to do but those 6.1s have a lot of potential for power. As it sits right now though I would have murdered him in the top end as we shut it down just as I was starting fourth gear on all but the last run when I started in the bottom of third.

Clean runs, wish I could've made it out.
Yeti your G8 sounds good. I will definitely need some decent heads to hang.

I think SRTboy and myself would be a good run though.

Yeah, I would like to borrow your wideband. Got the itch to get my car running better.

As it sits now I'm stock everything besides the heads cam and flowmasters.
Online right now looking to order some parts.
Leaning towards ported manifold under drive pulley and CAI with a better tune.
Any other suggestions??

it was obvious you were pulling and were gonna keep pulling at higher speeds. i just meant that at the beginning of the video you can see his car pretty much takes up the whole frame so the whole frame is roughly a car length. your car sounds real good. sounds like a smaller higher strung engine than it really is. what rpms u take it to?
