Default Transgo shift kit

So I got a 3200 pdq installed the other day and found out I have a transgo shift kit. Is that any good? I planned on putting a shift kit in but I didn't know I already had one. Should I change any parts from it or get something els or just leave it? Idk if its the hd2 or not. My tranny guy just told me that I already had a good one and just said it was a transgo. So what do you guys think?

The Transgo HD2 is generally considered the best shift kit. Other than the Sonnax Performance Pack (which is in some ways better, but milder), I wouldn't consider any other shift kit.

Here are all the 2012 threads on the HD2 kit:

From installing a converter how was it discovered that your trans has a shift kit...?

Can the HD2 be installed while the trans is in the car? Or do you have to drop the trans/converter?

You could do the valve-body mods with the tranny in the car, but there are several parts that go inside the transmission as well. To do the complete kit the tranny would have to be out.

I suspect that 90% of HD2 kits are installed with the tranny in the car.
I can think of two way to test:
1. After dropping the pan and filter, remove the 1-2 accumulator (just 3 bolts);
The HD2 has a unique spring setup for the 1-2 accumulator.
2. Remove the boost valve and measure its diameter; also note if a thick spacer washer is added to the housing. This is not a certain test since other boost valves would have similar properties.
