Default Help with computer ecm pcm

I just bought a 1998 Trans Am. The computer isn't mounted correctly. It's just laying loose by the forewall wedged by the heater box. The car runs good but when I hit a bump in the road lights on the dash start flashing and the car shuts off. Also while the car is running I can take my hand and move the computer around a little and the car shuts off. How is this computer suppose to be mounted? Why does the car shut off when I wiggle or slightly move the computer? Is it suppose to be grounded or something when mounted? Its Not mounted by any bracket or bolts or anything just laying there?

The pcm definitely needs to be mounted in place. Should be able to get those parts at a junk yard, dealer or someone on here might have what you need. The reason you're havin those problems is due to it being loose. The plugs that plug into it could have loosened up or the wires that are in there themselves are having problems. I would start with getting the pcm mounted correctly; then go from there.
