Default ls1 diagnosis

I have a 98 vette just replaced cam with a 580 230@50 110 . I had it tunned it had a lope at first now sounds stock. I can disconnect the fuel vapor vaccum line and I have a lope back. If I drive it around alittle the lope goes away. Is the computer compensating or what?

when you disconnect any vacuum line you create a vacuum leak ,which will affect the engine.

when I diconect the line I can hear the lope this cam should produce. I also can hear the vac leak as well. can the computer adjust the idle to hide the lope if tunned that way. Im used to carb engines no way to hide lope. did I get a different tune?

Unless you completely remove your EGR system, you shouldnt disconnect any vacuum line. If the cam is not as lopey as you thought, try getting a tune instead. The computer wont adjust for a vacuum leak, itll throw a code instead.
