Default expected price to pay for n20 installation

What is the typical price one could expect to pay to have a complete nitrous system installed and tuned.

Depends on how much you're having installed really. But truth be told installing a nitrous system is not overly difficult if you do some reading and use common sense.

But given typical shop labor rates and probably a day to do you're looking at $600+ plus tuning. Expect $1000+ easily.

Why wouldn't it? Just read up on what it takes to do the wiring and lines neatly. Look at a few installs and just take your time. Besides it's not a project you want to rush anyway.

Only reason why it wouldn't look nice is if you rushed through it. Do some research and look up pics of different n20 installs on f-bodys to get some ideas. Wire loom is your friend.

You got a good point. Being the expert at these cars that you are, is there any paticular set up you would reccomend for me? Wet or dry. Brand, what type of window switch. Would a 2 step rev limitor help me at the track?

Not an expert by any stretch. I've just been around a few installs before. The ones I've been around used NX wet kits and safety switches. I don't know a whole lot more than that since I've never ran it at the track. Two step will help you with consistent launches for sure. You just have to make sure you have tires and suspension to support it. What size shot are you planning?

Scour the classifieds and you get EVERYTHING you need for $3-400. You should do a wet kit, and with that you should do a Walbro 255 gph fuel pump. You want a window switch and a wide open throttle switch, as well as a MSD digital 6al to retard timing instantly when you spray. Gregrob was HUGE into nitrous, but he is rarely on these boards anymore, I would shoot him a pm and see if he responds. There are a ton of guys on here who are big into nitrous, so just wait for one of them to post more info.

Just jump in feet first with a direct port setup and a dedicated fuel system. Spray the world at it and just replace it with a stock engine every other weekend. There used to be a guy around me that did that. Car ran 9.50's every day. Who wants the engine to last anyway?
