Default First gen ls1 oil pan

I'm running a Chris alston subframe and today after trying to install motor I ran into the oil pan hitting the sway bar! Any suggestions on a cheap route? No really wanting to spend $400 on an oil pan? Anyone on here modify pans? I'm willing to ship and pay for labor. Any help would be great appreciated

Thanks,
John

Just move the sway bar,it doesn't really care where it is located.

Pictures would help us understand what the problem, as you don't state where it is contacting, other than it hits the sway bar. What pan are you currently using ? And where does it make contact?

S&P notches pans, many pro welder can handle it.

Sorry I didn't take pics. The subframe it's self comes with billet LS mounts. Ill try and post some tonight. It's hitting on the front of the oil pan (the sump part) . I'm sure if could notch out the front I shouldn't have any problems.

The Front of the F-Body pan is as about as shallow as any pan. It only uses a 3/4 legnth Windage tray. You might look into one of the Steel pan, they are pretty shallow on the front sump.

If all else fail, you might try moving the engine up some.
