Not an Lsx BUT still turbo...Saab 9-3 2.8 turbo
I have a camaro with a build thread on here and i am busy with that along with a 4.8 swap turbo 67 mustang too but I just bought a car..
It is a Saab 9-3 coupe with the 2.8 V6 turbo motor. I hit the jackpot with this and bought it for a measly 2 thousand! It has 62k miles and a 6speed auto trans. My question is does anyone know what all should be done with this car. I am not looking to make 7thousand hp with it and it will be mainly my wifes weekend driver so i was thinking somewhere in the 300-400hp range if possible.
Does anyone know if these can be tuned? what will the stock turbo hold. I do know GM owned this company and it has GM written all over it.
Anyone??

HP tuners will tune that, and that turbo is said to be worth 280 hp.
Tighten the gap on the plugs, shim the wastegate, and scan with HP, or hit somebody up for a tune, the HP tuners site will have someone to help you.

Quick and Dirty way to increase the boost, it puts more tension on the rod connected to the wastegate puck.
It is basically an easy way to increase the boost without changing the program in the computer.
But the plugs' gap needs to be closed up some or it can misfire with more boost.
Then you need something to monitor the engine vitals, after doing those modifications, to make sure everything is going OK.

HAHA well it was basically talking to a overly rich man that had no sense and didnt really care what he sold it for. He listed it for 10.5 which was already a good price for what they book for and I went to see it and talked him down 8.5grand within a week...easy peasy. I bought a 99 camaro SS with 53k miles in great shape back in 01(still have it) guy wanted 24k and I talked him down to 10k. i dont know how I do it...

I also have bought daily driver cars in great shape usually around 100k miles like a 200sx, civic ex, mazda protege', and a cobalt all listed for 4k or more and never paid more than 800(the civic) between all of them. In fact the other were like 500-700 after I got thru talking with them. I guess I have a gift...I just wish i had a better gift at building cars! lol
