I think that there are a couple of best answers.
1)One, is that if you use motor plate adapters that allow you to use one of the stock, unmodified pans (see oilpan sticky^^), you'll save money and time.
2)If using a different set of motor plate adapters, which place the engine closer to the steering, you'll possibly require a pan that needs to be altered, or you can buy an altered pan, ready-to-go....much more expense.
3)Another, is that you may desire a pan with more capacity than stock.

I have a 1972 Nova, i will be buying the Mast pan.

I agree I'm running into problems with my oil pan on my 68 Camaro.

I my be buying an autokraft to fix problem.

I emailed street and performance they said $256 turn around and they'll modify pan an pickup tube.

Let me know what you decide on.

If your running stock subframe may be best to find motor mounts that support te oil pan you have.

Overall, Ive heard pretty good things about the Mast pan when it comes to ground clearance, etc.
