LY6 valley cover swap to LS3?

LY6 valley cover swap to LS3? I have read some conflicting info on this and just trying to get a straight answer and opinions from guys who have done this. I'm running a stock L76 intake and still have the stock ly6 valve covers. I would prefer not to have to run a catch can if possible, is the ls3 valley cover worth the swap? Also considering swapping to Holley valve covers down the road which claim to have poor pcv design which would also be a motivating factor for the swap. Opinions?
