grinding/vibrating sound at high RPM
I have a trans am with a T-56 build at rockland transmission. The car drives fine until you really get it, then it makes a grinding noise and you can really feel it in the car. It feels like its getting held back. I think it is the tranny but not positive it shifts smooth also. The rest of the drivetrain consist a moser 9'' rear a PST 3.5 aluminum driveshaft which it rated at 1200hp a spec 3+ clutch. What do you guys think it is?

Where is the noise coming from?
I would rear out the...rear...if it's right under your feet. Possible the reassembly of your trans did not go back right. Rear could definitely hold you back. I've had multiple welded diffs and the one I have now holds me back with the amount of slag in it. I say that because it's a diff issue.

The vibration and noise is coming from transmission area not the rear, the rear is a moser rear 9" with 3:73 gears and a spool with a aluminum center section. The trans shifts great when you go half throttle but if you go full thats when the problems start
