LS3 rods in LS2 block?

Default LS3 rods in LS2 block?

I have been told that ls3 rods are stronger then ls2 rods and that the ls3 rods will fit in the ls2 block? Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Is it worth it? Thanks guys

All the factory 6.098 rods are interchangeable for the most part.

The only real difference is that the gen 3 stuff is press fit pins and the gen 4 is floating.

How much are you getting those rods for?

Personally, I'd rather drop $280 on brand new forged I beam rods with ARP bolts for a budget upgrade. Those will hold a lot more power and RPM than any stock LS3 rod.

Add in another $200+ for ARP bolts and re-sizing and you're at $400 for used OEM rods.

Scat I beam with ARP bolts are $283.
