Default Is it time to change out my shocks and springs?

I don't mean to make this sound like a dumb question. My '02 WS6 TA has 14K orig miles, but it is 11 years old. It's in storage 5-6 months out of the year and driven around 1K miles over the summer. Just curious if from limited activity and sitting, is it a good idea to consider swapping out the original shocks and springs?

If you don't care about ride quality, stability and handling then your stock shocks are "fine" with that mileage.
If you do care about ride quality, stability and handling then stock decarbon shocks even brand new need to be thrown in the garbage. Its not the mileage, its the way they are valved from the factory.

Springs and probably shocks should be fine as is unless its giving you ride quality issues or you want performance improvements

You can replace your shocks with Monroe shocks they are better than stock inexpensive, made in the USA and have a Lifetime replacement warranty, that is what I use....I do not race my Z28 and is my DD with 316,000 miles on it. or........you can listen to some of the BS that is coming, I'm sure of this and spend a Ton of $$$$$ on something your really do not need. Your money your choice, just giving some friendly advice. I've been repairing cars since 1970.

try pushing the tail of the car down and check to see how much it bounces.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I'll give it the "bounce" test when it comes out of storage (come on SPRING!).

My car had 6k miles on it when I decided to swap out the stock shocks and springs for Bilstein/Hotchkis setup.
