My rear broke bigtime. I have 3.73 A4. funds are tight so i found a complete rear end with 2,73s. I will need to drive it for a week until i get the pcm reflashed. How many mph will speedo be off? higher or lower? I know shift points will be off.

it will be off around 25% , I would be most concerned with whether rpm and mph will be met to initiate shifts in the tune thats a big gear change to expect the tune to absorb , it would suck to have to add a trans to your budget...

...and may also put you firmly in "ticket territory" if you don't pay attention. When your speedo says 65, you'll be over 80.

65 speedometer indicated speed will be 89 actual speed.
47 speedometer indicated speed will be 65 actual speed.

Use a GPS unit to determine actual speed.
