It can be done with minimal changes.

If you can afford to take a brand new car and swap the engine out, you shouldn't have a problem finding someone to get it done.

I just sent my car out to get a LSX 454 swapped in. You will need a 8 bolt flywheel, new clutch and slave/slave spacer. I am going to stay with stock axles till I break them. LS7 type intake manifold is needed and coil brackets if you keep the 454 valvecovers. I will report back how it turns out.

Just a update on my LSX 454 swap, the engine is in and I am breaking it in. All I can say is torque is king.

I put a 454 in a G8 so pretty much the same as the Camaro, easy swap. That Livernois build appears to be choked with that intake manifold, shorty headers, and cam selection... with the included GM cam, long tubes, and a GMPP single plane intake I made 80+whp more.

I hope to make similar numbers with long tubes and a FAST/NW 102 combo.

My axles and stock drivetrain except Richmond 4.10's are holding up fine. I must admit I don't abuse them, no hammer down starts from a dig.

It is just a simple swap as long as you have the 10k ,and as stated before you can sell off the ls3 stuff and not be out of pocket that much
fastlane did a lsx454 swap in a 1998 ta for me a couple pics of the ta while being done, and a picture of the new project fastlane in houston is doing now in their shop for me.
