new koni's and strano springs
so just placed a order today for a set of koni's sport shocks and some strano springs. I have a pair of eibach pro springs on the car currently and dont like how low it is (the headers drag a lil sometimes and i have 315's on the back that rub some times pulling into steep driveways), so i decided to get some new springs and iv heard the shock r amazing. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on putting them in easier. i know there is a video on here thats pretty good and sam commented on some extra ideas on it but was jw if anyone had anything extra to say
thanks guys

Rear is very simple. Front i had to buy new shock mounts the old ones just didn't want to budge. Watch your brake lines, disconnect sway bar mounts. Little wrestling was done to get them in but overall not terrible. Soak everything in PB blaster/WD40 night before.

newbie just sent you a pm about the springs
put them in today
Before After
Front 25 5/8 Left 26 1/2 Rt 26 3/8
Rear 26 Left 26 3/4 Rt 26 1/2
Does anyone know why the back right would be lower... i checked the springs before and the eibachs where the same way... and i know most people would say make sure you put the spright in facing the same way and i did that the only way i could think is trying to spin the rear spring until it is lil longer on one side??? any ideas would be great
Will have pics up tomorrow
They worked out just as i thought they would they raised the car just enough even if i have another big guy in the car, i dont drag my header pulling into my drive way anymore... have to play w/ the shocks (prob next weekend at the track atco muscle weekend) but i could already tell that they where def better than the stock ones w/ 82,XXX on them hahah, i owe a big thanks to sam for filling me in on some lil stuff to make it easier
If anyone want the Eibach springs (>15K on them)pm me

Easiest way to get the master out of the way is to loosen the two 10mm nuts that hold the ABS unit to its bracket, then loosen the master, lift the ABS unit off its bracket and slide the whole assembly out of the way to get to the T50 bolts.
But the rears are real simple. Get the shocks out of there, lower the jack that WILL BE supporting the rear end, pull the springs out, replace springs, then the shocks.
Fronts are a little more involved, but if you consider yourself a mechanic at all you won't have a problem. Get a decent spring compressor and be really careful with it. If the nut won't come off the shock, either grab the shock shaft with a set of ViceGrips or cut the shock shaft and grind the rest off.

I think the koni and strano combo is awesome no doubt. I have them myself. But don't expect them to cure cancer. If you have low headers and rubbing from your wide tires, you could just as likely have the same problems with clearance. Maybe the impacts won't be as bad as with the Eibachs.. but you have to realize your bump stops are what define full compression travel. You will hit full compression travel no matter what spring you have.. stock or eibach.. stock shocks or konis.
Koni's and stranos will immensely improve handling and driving characteristics. You may still want to do some slight modifications to improve tire clearance. What kind of headers do you have?

actually it helped a lot and ya i know it wouldnt help w/ the rubbing in the back (need to tub them and get different rims haha)i just wanted to raise it up for the headers really, i have hookers and when i pull into my drive way now they dont rub anymore it was really close to not hitting and i had about 15,xxx on the eibach springs and stock shocks so i knew if if i put new shocks it would help and i figured that if the springs were rated for 550 lbs per than that would help more.
