Aftermarket hood concerns.
I recently got a Glasstek SS hood, and here is a copy of their warranty:
The following is made in lieu of all warranties expressed or implied. The user of any productucts manufactured or sold by Glasstek Inc. is responsible for determining the suitability of the product for the intended use, and the user is therefore responsible for all risks and liabilities connected with the use of these products. All products manufactureed and sold by Glasstek Inc. must be installed by a legally certified body shop or service center, or Glasstek Inc. will not assume any responsibility pertaining to the product. Glasstek Inc. recommends hood pins on the front of all bolt on style hoods for safety!
So do you guys think I should put in hood pins? I don't want to because they look stupid and, shall I say....
Is there any way to re-enforce the hood latch? Any help would be appreciated!

really? that sucks! Mine fits fine, the lip along the sides had to be grinded down a little but other than that, its fine. I was just wondering about the hood pins because I don't want the som bitch flying off on the freeway! Was your latch re-inforced?

No need to get all "fussy" about it!
What I meant was that today when you see hood pins on a car its usually to hold down a carbon fiber hood on a supra or civic! I fully agree that a hood pins on a 1970 Camaro would look cool because it is an american muscle car, not a 4 cylinder lawn mower trying to look cool.
Now, back to my question, should I get these hood pins to keep the hood from flying off or should I trust the latch? And can I somehow re-enforce the latch?
