Default mustang swap throttle cable

which throttle cable are people using for mustang swaps. Not looking for any more fabrication work to make it fit. I think people are using the lokar unit. Not sure though. Going into a 87 mustang with 03 cable operated truck motor.

I used the 5.0 throttle cable. My intake had the throttle bracket, so I cut the bracket on the curved side almost where it bolts to the intake, rolled it toward the back of the engine a little at a time til it fit. Then I tacked it, removed it from the intake &welded it solid. I then drilled a hole to bolt the cable to the bracket. Looks as if it was made that way.

Nsty98 are you using a truck intake or car intake? Not sure if the truck bracket is different from the car

I'm using a car intake on my swap. I should have specified that.

Sorry, I should have read better. I don't know if you'd have enough slack to get over the truck intake.

stock 5.0 cable. I drilled a hole in the intake webbing and added a few washers and a bolt.

its got enough slack in the cable to run over the truck intake as long as you route it correctly. Its still a tight fit though. Still got to see if i can modify the truck bracketry some how.

I noticed that the other day with mine also. It wouldnt go all the way open. Thinking I may switch to a lokar one instead of the fox one. Or come up with another bracket.

Going to have to go custom length with mine with the big monster Hi-Ram intake. I looked at the 4 banger cable and it was not even remotely close, lol.
