My Camaro is bolt ons/Torquer 2 M6 car. My friends car is tore down and will be a 228r car/ bolt ons minus a LS6 intake. Its a stick car as well. My question is since we have his computer in the mail getting a mail order tune. What are the odds I could take my dyno tuned Torquer 2 computer and use in his car just to start to let idle? Will it work? Is it safe?

You can do it as long as they are both 99-02 or 98's. It won't be perfect but to start it there shouldn't be a problem.

They're both 2000s actually. We just wanted to let it idle for a little while to check for leaks and let the valve springs get a couple heat cycles before his came and he could take it straight home. It won't be moved with it just started in the driveway. Thanks

You can, you only need to do a VATS relearn (unless it is disabled in the tune)

what do you mean vats relearn? Both cars have the key switches bypassed with resistors but not turned off in the ecm. How do I do that?
