Default Need help choosing a DOUBLE DIN for my TAHOE!

So in a month or so I am getting a Tahoe z71 from my father in law. i am pumped its in nice shape and only has 94k on it its on 01. So I am naming it the baby tank since my wife will be using this for her daily. I hate the stock look of the radio and want to do a double din unit. I am really looking at the Pioneer z140. Looks like it does everything i need. Oh and I am also getting headrest tv put in so factor that in. If anyone knows a good unit that will look good in a tahoe let me know!

I have a Clarion NX409. It was the cheapest unit I could find that offered Nav and DVD. It also came with a back up camera but I never installed it. It is very good and sounds great. They don't make them anymore but Check out their new units if they are cheaper. I use to be a pioneer man but didn't want to pay.

So far I'm a fan of my Kenwood DDX470. Its got BT, unlike the ddx370, but it doesnt have nav. Sounds good, and I can connect my phone to it thru BT to play pandora and everything I want.

This wasnt an issue for me though, because I get nav thru google maps on my Galaxy S3.

I am almost positive on this, but to put a DD in your Tahoe and do it "right" you will need a dash bezel and the radio bucket out of a 03-07(classic) Truck. I did this swap in my 99 Silvy and while not hard, is quite involved.

Pioneer z140 is the best out there in In my opinion. I install those at the shop I work at and man do those things have some good options. I own the z130bt myself and it does it all

id go with any double din that offers high and low pass filters as well as 3-way active capabilities. time alignment is also a sweet feature. check out the jvc kw900bt for example
