think i just broke my clutch??

Default think i just broke my clutch??

so was in second and hit the gas and the clutch fell to the floor, sound like a burnt clutch or what could it be???

You floored it in 2nd and the clutch pedal dropped to the floor and now won't come back up? So is you car stuck in 2nd now? I'd check out the hydraulics first. Check the fluid in the master cylinder resavior.

ya and no its not stuck in second, its like the clutch is engaged because i can pull the peddle up and then push it and it falls rt back down... and i can turn off the car and turn it right back in but i cant put it in gear

Right now it sounds like the master or slave cylinder have failed. Check the fluid in the master cylinder resavior, check inside the car under the dash against the firewall where the master comes through to see if it's leaking, and check under the car by the bottom of the bell housing to see if the slave is leaking. If everything seems fine I'dtry bleeding the system, but if everything seems ok after that in regards to the hydraulic system you might need to pull the trans and see whats up in the clutch/slave area.

ya looks like there is some fluid by the bell housing, theres no fluid by the master and there is fluid in the reservoir so thinking its the slave

pulled out the tranny tonight going to clean it up and put new slave in tomorrow, trying to figure out if i want to put it back in for the Atco races on sunday or wait until i can put a new Mcleod RXT clutches w/ their steel flywheel need some extra money come in b4 i dump another 1500 into it.

I'd just wait for the new clutch if that's feasible. Screw having to drop the whole tranny again if you don't have to.
