E3 Spark Plugs- opinions?
Hi, guys. I am wondering if the e3s are actually as good as advertised, or is it just bs like a lot of stuff out there. More particularly on LT1s. Anybody tried these? How were they with power, gas mileage, overall performance of the engine and durability? Or should I go with AC Delco platinum?
P.S. the search can't do 'e3' because it's too short -.- . Well that surely sucks... Oh well.

A gimmick. AC Delco is just fine especially if your f-body is stock. All you need is the right spark plug gap and a healthy coil and you're good to go.
You can even go with NGK irridiums if you have stock cast iron manifolds since they are a bitch to change. They'll outlive your car. I still have them in mine.

I find the E3 plugs are more resistant to fouling and you don't have to index them. I noticed slightly better throttle response also.

Not to mention indexing is unnecessary particularly for a mild street/strip car.
I mean if you have a aggressive car that will get several sets of plugs a year and all that sure give it a shot. Really though IMO indexing made a bigger difference on OLD stuff with crappy chambers that had poor flame travel

I dont get the point of multiple electrodes on a spark plug. 2 or 3 weaker arcs instead of one strong arc. Maybe im wrong but it just seems like a hassle, plus how would you know if all the gaps are the same. Ive never had a problem with AC delcos in my GM vehicles.
