Default Stock bottom end LQ4. How much spray is safe?

I have a h/c LQ4 in my '98 C5 and I'm thinking about hitting it with a 100 wet shot through a plate. From what I know a 200 shot would still be safe with a spot on tune, and a 100 shot is very safe. What are the weak points of a stock bottom end 6.0L? What brands do ya'll prefer for a well put together plate kit? Any comments appreciated.

6.0l Iron block
Ported 853 castings
Comp 224r cam
Fast 90 w/ TPIS 90mm TB
1 3/4 long tubes with x-pipe
Walbro Fuel Pump

150 Hp is very common to run on a stock bottom end. You will want to run a colder spark plug in it along with pulling some timing to prevent detonation.

One thing that a lot of people use to keep the tune for both normal driving and driving on spray is use either a MSD Timing Twister or a Lingenfelter LNC 2000 timing controller.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll most likely run an incredibly safe 100 shot and see what times I can reach with that.
Anyone running spray on their LQ4?

im spraying a 200 shot on a 5.3 and havent had any issues, stock long block spinning to around 6400. colder plugs and the timing turned down low is the key, along with good gas if its available. i also started with a 100 shot and you will find that you will increase the shot size pretty quickly lol these ls motors love the juice.

its kinda mixed up the solenoids are the zex race efi but im running a barry grant upgraded power wing wet nozzle. i would say your setup should be even safer being that you plan on running a plate they atomize the fuel better, i plan on going to a progressive 300 shot using a nitrous outlet plate!
